The following are activities which I have developed across the years, I have been able to find personal growth & creative outlets through them, as well as getting to know interesting people and concepts.
Furniture design
This coffee table is inspired from the frequent sights when walking the streets of India:
- Houses & apartments, whose windows open up to rows of drying laundry.
- Street carts loaded with an array of goods for sale.
Merchandise design
In my free time I dabble with graphics for various products, including beverage sleeves, bags, t-shirts.
‘Brown Polar Bear’ – the naming
“Brown Polar Bear” traces back to Nanook the Inuit word for polar bear and the guardian spirit in Inuit mythology who decides which hunters are worthy of success. The name reached the wider world through Nanook of the North, a 1922 documentary that made it one of the first widely recognized Arctic names in the West. I liked the parallel more than the trivia: a name about who finds what they’re looking for, and whether they’re ready for it. This site works the same way – found by the people I choose, not by search.
