During my stay in Siem Reap, I got invited to a wedding by the hostel owner.
After standing around for a bit, I decided to jump in and help with the prep work.
Each time, I held up something I had prepped for the vegetable broth the ladies would flash a victory sign and smile 🙂 .
They spoke Khmer, I replied in English and we all laughed through the conversation and the preparations without understanding zilch.
I hear good marriages are made like this, apparently so is good wedding food. 😛
