Palolem and the beaches in Goa are perhaps the exception to the rule when it comes to safety at sea in India.
Although India enjoys a tremendous coastline and its fair share of beaches, lifeguards and safety at sea are almost never a priority.
However, even the farthest of beaches in Goa are equipped with surf rescue teams.
