Review – ‘Where to invade next.’

The impossible can happen.

In ‘Where to invade next’ Moore travels through Italy, France, Germany, Slovenia, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Portugal and Tunisia to pick “flowers” of established processes & ideas that can enrich societal life – education, citizen welfare, equal rights, healthcare, law , public facilities etc.

Most of the facts presented in this documentary have been circulated in media before, nonetheless what is lacking in original information, Moore makes up for by consolidating a solution of sorts for seemingly hopeless situations.

The last 10 minutes of the documentary are especially telling, where you see Moore’s discomfort and acceptance of just far things have gone in the wrong direction. With the Berlin wall for backdrop, when Moore narrates a personal anecdote you understand the relentless optimism that drives him to make documentaries such as this.
