In memory of bordain

Anthony Bordain’s departure shook me. This was a man I admired from afar. He was an incredible chef no doubt, but so full of life and adventure. This was a person who had seen the lows and highs of life and seemed to take it all in with full vigour.

I wish I could have met you some day. Walked into one of your restaurants and given you the compliments I so wished to share.

Rest in peace, chef. Your journey will be remembered.

Of everyone who left here early
Your departure rippled most

The world weighs on, like boulders
Hearts that feel like they’re healing,
but never quite anything more than raw

Trying to keep a good head on my shoulders
Chasing the light
Standing up and giving a fight

But I know the day is coming, only stands to reason when?
Our skin, too fragile for this worlds sharp edges

After everything, to become a shadow of what once was

When it was hard to rest,
you choose to rest in peace
