“Solving” the world, one low hanging fruit at a time

Once any world problem is identified, the complexity of its workings explored, the possibilities of interventions exposed, the zooming in and zooming out from tiny object level interventions to systemic changes earmarked – what happens then ?

The arguments are put forth, and turns out the world needs an overhaul.

But to want to “fix” all of earths problems as a unified vision sounds perverse.

And so we make up futures – equal parts logical leap, fabricated detail, exaggerated vision , and hopeful conjecture. The story of this new future is fascinating .. following different timelines and trajectories.

Success or failure then lies in the fiction you choose to make fact:

The most urgent issue that needs intervention ?

The issue that will have the most far-reaching impact ?

Or intervening with the lowest hanging fruit ?
